Bhare: An Interview with the Artist on Dreams, Aspirations, and the Web3 Space

Bhare’s abstract style, seemingly effortless yet deeply captivating, is a rich tapestry woven with personal narratives. Drawing inspiration from art movements such as Modern Abstract and Impressionism, his work exudes a distinctive style in both physical and digital mediums. Just before his recent debut launch with the Fair platform, we sat down with Bhare to delve deep into the mosaic of his artistic journey thus far.

Q: Have you always known that you were going to pursue a career as an artist?

Bhare: In all honesty, I hadn’t. While I always yearned for a creative career, I envisioned myself pioneering unique restaurant experiences worldwide. With a university degree in the culinary and restaurant domain, I aimed to become a global restaurateur. Being a first-generation individual in the States, I doubted my ability to thrive solely through my art. But that was a misconception. Admittedly, my art during my school days wasn’t what it is today, but that limiting belief did shape my perception of what creative careers could be.

Q: If you were to sum up your artistic style in three words, which would they be?

Bhare: Dramatic. Irregular. Euphemisms.

Q: Everyone has a dream collector. Who’s yours?

Bhare: Having my work acquired by the Tate would be surreal. I aspire to mark my presence in international museums and galleries while carving my niche in the Web3 universe. But honestly, the definition of a ‘dream collector’ is fluid for me. Anyone who genuinely resonates with my work and supports me monetarily fits the bill. I’m fortunate to have such patrons who genuinely cherish my creations, instead of merely seeking short-term gains.

Q: The Web3 space is filled with unsung heroes. According to you, who are the three most underrated artists?

Bhare: Without a doubt, Nearbound (formerly Moonsun) tops the list with their emotion-driven dreamy digital abstracts. Silky Sammy’s digital paintings, reminiscent of comic book concept art, have a depth that speaks volumes. Lastly, Mariah (0xVestica) brilliantly harnesses watercolour to craft fluid figures that twist and morph based on the piece’s perspective. Their narrative diversity is breathtaking, and every artwork is a feast for the eyes.

Q: If you could possess any NFT, which one would be your top pick?

Bhare: If Square Enix ever ventures into the Web3 realm with a Kingdom Hearts NFT, I’d be all over it. It’s a cherished fragment of my childhood that moulded my love for soundtracks and imaginative realms. Most big-ticket NFTs don’t pique my interest. My focus is more on personal growth alongside my fellow artist friends. I seldom collect, be it online or in real life, hence I treasure the works of those near and dear to me.
